Slide the tail through the opening so the diaper sits in the right place.
Wrap and close
Bring the waistband around the belly and press the hook-and-loop strap closed.
Two-finger check
You should fit two fingers under the waistband. Snug enough to stay put, loose enough to be comfy.

Before you order
Where exactly do I measure?
Around the narrowest part of the belly, just in front of the back legs. Keep the tape snug with room for one finger, then use the size finder above.
My dog is between two sizes.
Choose the larger size. The hook-and-loop waist closes tighter, but it can't stretch past its largest setting.
Will it fit male dogs?
DryTail is designed to cover the rear for heat cycles, leaks and accidents. For male dogs who mainly mark, a belly band usually fits better. If you're not sure, ask us before ordering.
How long can my dog wear it?
Change it as soon as it's wet or soiled, and give your dog regular breaks without it so the skin can breathe. A few hours at a time is a good rule.
Can my dog go to the toilet while wearing it?
Take it off for toilet breaks outside. The diaper is there for the accidents in between.
Will my dog try to pull it off?
Some dogs fuss at first. Short sessions with treats help, and a correct fit (two fingers under the waist) means there's less to tug at.
How do I wash it?
Rinse off any mess, close the strap so it doesn't catch on other laundry, then machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Air dry, or tumble dry on low.
Can I use bleach or fabric softener?
No. Both can break down the absorbent layer and make it less effective.
How many should I get?
Most owners keep at least two, so one can be in the wash while the other is worn. During a heat cycle, three makes life easier.
